EarthDaily presented us with two interesting web design and data challenges. This first was to create a modern, interactive corporate website that allows visitors and investors to understand and play with the complex satellite and data technology EarthDaily has created. The second was incorporating a corporate website merger of two sites into this new design: earthdaily.com and geosys.com, one of EarthDaily’s subsidiary companies. One of the bigger data challenges was migrating user data and multilingual data from two major WordPress websites into one.

RFDM worked hand in glove with three other teams on this project – EarthDaily’s executive and inhouse technology team, Geosys’s executive and marketing team, and CrossBorder PR’s branding and communications team. Explicit expectations and clear communication between all teams were essential to bring the project together for a successful corporate website merger.

To create a modern aesthetic that fits EarthDaily’s brand, and also looks great on all devices, we relied heavily on using full screen, big pane images from their library of jaw-dropping satellite imagery. To create an interactive website that encouraged users to explore rather than scroll, we ‘appified’ the website by creating tabbed menu systems and explorable hotspot-based technology pages.
