How to Generate an Authtoken for the Zoho Analytics and Quickbooks Desktop Connector

After a very frustrating hunt for a solution for this problem, I decided I should save everyone else some time with this post. In particular, this problem arose because I was trying to connect Zoho Analytics and a client’s Quickbooks Desktop instance through the connector (https://www.zoho.com/analytics/help/connectors/quickbooks-desktop.html#setup).

Step 1: Ensure that you’re currently logged in to Zoho Analytics as an admin user.

Step 2: Go to this link: https://accounts.zoho.com/apiauthtoken/create?SCOPE=ZohoReports/reportsapi 

Step 3: You should get a popup in your browser window with a button to Generate Authtoken – click the button, and you should receive the code, which you can enter into your Quickbooks Desktop Webconnector as the password for the connector.
